Informational Owner Update
NOT AN ASSOCIATION COMMUNICATION
Thank you to every owner who participated in the Feb 19 election. Regardless of outcome, the community deserves a process that is uniform, documented, and defensible.
This post is not campaign messaging and contains no voting instructions. It is an owner information update focused on process integrity and records preservation.
What we observed (high-level categories)
Multiple owners reported or documented issues including:
- Late / missing ballot delivery, especially for out-of-state owners, limiting the ability to return ballots in time.
- Non-uniform ballot materials (owners reported different versions/print formats).
- Replacement ballot handling concerns (reports of irregular issuance/handling).
- Pressure related to proxies / designated voter forms reported by owners.
- Chain-of-custody opacity: owners were unable to obtain a clear, written explanation of where ballots were stored from mailing through counting, who had access, and what controls prevented tampering.
- Ballot box documentation interference: owners attempting to photograph the ballot box for integrity verification reported being obstructed.
We are compiling these into a formal record with exhibits and witness declarations.
What happens next
We are pursuing an owner-rights and election-integrity track focused on:
- Preservation of election evidence (ballots, envelopes, ballot box, logs, communications, CCTV/access logs).
- A documented chain-of-custody record (storage, access, transfers, counting procedures).
- A formal review through the DBPR/Ombudsman process as appropriate.
How owners can help (safe, confidential)
If you experienced any ballot issue, please report it confidentially so it can be included in the record:
Email: info@goldensurftowerscondominium.com
Subject: ELECTION ISSUE – Unit ___
Include (facts only):
- Unit number
- In-state or out-of-state
- Ballot received date (or “not received as of ___”)
- What was missing/different (if applicable)
- Any communication you sent/received about replacement ballots or delivery
- Photos of envelopes/labels/postmarks (if available)
Preserve originals: If you still have envelopes, labels, or the packet, keep them intact. Do not discard.
Important note
No one should feel pressured to sign anything or hand over ballots to anyone. Owners are entitled to a process that protects secrecy, uniformity, and documented custody from issuance through counting.
We’ll post the next update once the preservation and production requests are acknowledged or refused (both outcomes matter for the record).
